fulsome, desultory, tendentious

I recently saw Peter Jackson's horror classic Dead Alive again. That was a really fun and funny movie. It can get a bit fulsome in it's depiction of blood and gore, but looking at it now the effects seem cheesy and absolutely hilarious. This makes me want to see zombie movies again. So next up in my Netflix queue or Blockbuster rentals are: Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, and the Return of the Living Dead series. I also now must see the Dawn of the Dead remake.

Speaking of zombies, I continue to wrestle with insomnia on most nights. On these nights I'm usually productive: I workout, read a book, study for the GRE, work on my website, play PC games, etc. Last night, however, I just sat in front of the TV just switching channels in a desultory manner, not really watching anything. I hope this "spacing out" won't become a tendentious habit.

now playing: Opeth - Lamentations (DVD)
